They maintain adequate stiffness and system characteristics with the weight increased by modifications. The hardness of the OFD bushings is designed to fit the off-road driving style and extra weight. The kit replaces factory bushings that may prove to be too soft, such as when driving with larger wheels or lift.
Polyurethane construction
These high-quality polyurethane bushings from OFD, are a great replacement for the factory rubber parts. They will improve the handling of your car and increase the stiffness only where needed. Suspension geometry will remain set throughout the whole wheel travel in any given situation. They are oil resistant, can withstand solvents, gasoline and 10% acid solutions well. Notes:
- Proper installation requires the use of generous amounts of silicone-based grease with a PTFE additive. We do not recommend using any lithium or molly-based grease as they tend to dry out the polyurethane resulting in cracks and premature wear
